SEPTEMBER 2021 NEWSLETTER
Since my previous Newsletter in April and the many months of Covid pandemic “lockdowns” it was initially very strange for us to be able to get away travelling again in June, firstly for a brief stopover in the Lake District in Cumbria and then on northwards across the Border into Scotland for 10 wonderful days of walking and photography on the tiny Isle of Iona in the Inner Hebrides off the southwest coast of the Isle of Mull.
If you too in recent months have managed to get away to the islands, hills, mountains and coasts we all so love, to “recharge the batteries of your soul”, I hope that you also had a wonderful time. If not then I hope that my images and our publications continue to give you pleasure.
And now that Summer all too soon is over, surprisingly I see that Christmas food is already appearing in supermarkets so thoughts must soon turn to the year-end, hence the reminder in next item below:

During the summer we have produced two new custom postcard designs for two hotels at pretty much opposite ends of the U.K. – both we know well and very much like, namely:

This postcard shows a picture of this lovely hotel in its remote location on the rugged west coast of the island of Bryher in the Isles of Scilly, facing the Atlantic Ocean and Bishop Rock Lighthouse on the western horizon. This is another of our favourite very special places to stay. We have recently introduced this new version of one of our most popular postcards of one of the best sandy beaches on the Northwest coast of Scotland near to the village of Achiltibuie. This new version better shows the spectacularly beautiful view towards the mountains of the Coigach peninsula composed in parts of some of the oldest rocks on the surface of our planet.

Highland cattle & Ben More, Isle of Mull
This latest addition to our now quite large series of “Highlands and Hebrides” postcards is a classic Scottish Highlands scene with Highland cattle and Ben More in the background, the Isle of Mull’s highest mountain and only “Munroe”. I hope you like it.
