APRIL 2021 NEWSLETTER
Whilst it is springtime now as I write this in Cornwall in southwest England I am reminded that for the many who read this Newsletter in the Southern hemisphere of our Blue Planet, winter approaches as I have just heard from one of our client friends in South Island New Zealand as they look forward to skiing in the Southern Alps.
Wherever you are now reading this I thank all those who have loyally supported us buying our publications online throughout the Covid “lock-downs”.
I do so hope that you, your family and friends have managed to stay safe and well thus far during this global pandemic crisis and will continue to do so, as we have done.
With the re-opening of “non-essential” shops and hospitality businesses in the England we are seeing a welcome surge in new re-stocking orders from our usual retailers and several new ones. As well as selling all our publications on-line we are also happy for you to support our retailers many of whom have loyally supported us over many years and whom we regard as valued good friends. They have suffered very challenging times during this pandemic no matter what their size and will greatly welcome your custom.

This, our latest calendar of the Isles of Scilly, is ready and available for you to buy with prompt shipping and as usual has been carefully quality-checked by hand by me.
Although there are 8 months remaining until the start of 2022 our calendars make wonderful celebration gifts to give throughout this year to anyone who knows and loves these islands or is hoping to travel there maybe for the first time.
This 14th edition has been produced to the usual high specifications as in recent years and printed locally in Cornwall – I am keen to support local small businesses and jobs. The only change is that due to the uncertainties thrown up by the Covid pandemic, organisers of local Isles of Scilly events have been unable to predict for us their dates for next year before we had to go to print and so this year we have been unable to include these in this 2022 edition but for these you can check locally nearer to the time with the Isles of Scilly Tourist Information Centre: www.visitislesofscilly.com who already have a good stock of our new Isles of Scilly 2022 Calendars.

NEW: I am delighted to tell you that when you are next in Penzance in Cornwall you should visit our latest new retailer, the wonderfully named The Edge of the World Bookshop located on the main street – Market Jew Street, where you can now buy our new Isles of Scilly 2022 Calendars and a good selection of our Cornwall and Isles of Scilly greetings cards. They are now fully re-opened after the latest Covid lock-down.

April is the month when one of the world’s largest populations of Puffins and many thousands of other seabirds return to our shores in the U.K. to breed until they return to the open ocean in August. Sales of our Puffins greetings cards have proven to be so universally popular that recently we needed to get these reprinted giving us plenty more now for when you may wish to buy them.
