This information is primarily used to see how busy our Website is and which times of the day/week are busiest. In addition we can use this information to decide what functionality we can safely include on our Website.
We also gather additional information in respect of your visits to our Website (including, but not limited to information concerning traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and details of the resources that you access. Such information is used to help us to see how our Website is being viewed and, therefore, enable us to improve it in a more effective way.
We also collect information provided by you at the time you register to use our Website and when you purchase goods from us via our Website or if you report a problem with the Website or if you contact us for any other reason. Where we store your personal data
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
All purchases on the Website are effected by Worldpay via Pay360 by Capita and their secure Servers. All credit card information is transmitted to us, and on to Pay360 by Capita via secure encrypted links. You can look for the locked padlock icon on your Browser to verify that your connection to us is encrypted (usually the bottom right of your Browser window). Your credit card number is not stored on our Server, nor do we have access to this data other than to pass it directly to Pay360 by Capita for validation via a secure link.
Personal information that you may supply to us is stored in a password-protected format to prevent loss, misuse, or alteration of the data. As mentioned above, your credit card number is not stored on our Server nor is it stored by us when received when taking and processing orders made to us by telephone. Where appropriate, e.g., when credit card information is being transmitted, the connection to us is made over an encrypted link. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Consequently, whilst we are committed to continued best efforts to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us in connection with our on-line product sales, and you transmit such information to us at your own risk.
Remember that you should never send any of your personal and private details nor passwords to us nor to anyone else over the internet in e-mail messages as these are transmitted in free form text which cannot be encrypted and are therefore not secure.
Similarly you should not use nor do we accept private and sensitive information such as credit card and personal details over a mobile / cell phone link as these also are not secure.
NEVER FORGET THAT whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on-line on the internet - for example on message boards, through e-mail, or in social media and chat areas - that information can potentially be and often is collected and used by others without you necessarily knowing about it. In other words in case you give personal data on line that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited communication from others in return.
Ultimately you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Therefore please be careful and responsible in disclosing any personal information about yourself whenever you are on-line.
You have the right to ask us not to use your personal information to send to you our own email newsletters. We will inform you of this option when registering as a user of our Website or when making an online purchase via our Website. We will not disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can also exercise this right at any time by contacting us at: email@example.com or by calling us at our Trading Address.
Our Website may, from time to time, contain links to and from other websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. It is your responsibility to check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10.00 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
