Although images on the site are presented in either landscape or portrait orientation, many of the images are available in both orientations. If you require an image in an orientation not shown please request it directly by contacting us stating the reference of the image shown on the site.
All pictures on the Blue Planet Images website are priced in the same way. All are available in the same range of sizes as follows:
Small (£75)
These are presented at 600 x 900 pixels and are suitable for on-screen use and thumbnail print applications. If printed at 300dpi, the print size would be 2x3 inches. Delivered by download. The average file size of this type of image is 250KB compressed; 1.5MB uncompressed.
Medium (£125)
These are presented at 1200 x 1800 pixels and are suitable for medium print applications. If printed at 300dpi, the print size would be 4x6 inches. Delivered by download. The average file size of this type of image is 620KB compressed; 6MB uncompressed.
Large (£200)
These are presented at 2400 x 3600 pixels and are suitable for larger print applications. If printed at 300 dpi, the print size would be 8x12 inches. Available on CD or electronically by special arrangement. Delivery via CD by mail or courier (please enquire by e-mail for cost quotation - delivery costs may be charged in addition to image costs). The average file size of this type of image is 2.4MB compressed; 24MB uncompressed.

All images are presented in high quality JPEG format (compressed). TIFF format images (uncompressed) are available on CD by request.
Purchase of images from this website gives you a non-transferable license to use the images in perpetuity on a non-exclusive basis for any purpose with the exception of Postcards, Greetings Cards, Calendars, Screen Savers or "Fine Art" Prints.
